(Beta Release)

Where fashion is for everyone, but style is just for you.

Welcome to Dionne's Diary, where the Editor/Head Stylist, Dionne Goldson, is allowed to ramble on.
It's a chance for you to get to know her and find out what she's up to...p.s don't wanna be a kill joy,
but unless you attribute us, all photographs on this page, stays on this page, if you catch our drift xx

The slideshow to your left is a few outfit combos I have virtually styled,
using a site called Polyvore, they are for my own amusement really,
however, sometimes-just sometimes, I can get inspiration.....

Just in case you were all wondering what I've been up to of late, I've been assisting fellow stylist Fleur Egan on the Lynx Twist Shoot. It's the first short film to be produced by Lynx starring the lovely Keeley Hazell and Blake Harrison (from the Inbetweeners). I had a great time despite the cold, long hours (can't really complain, the catering was deeee-lish). I gained even more experience on the set of a video shoot as opposed to stills and I was pleased to see how well I adapted to commercial styling as well as my personal styling. I thought I'd share a few blurry pics from the happenings behind the scenes. I also thought you might just want to view the trailer video, I'm actually in it, but blink and you'll miss me. Enjoy

clothesstuff

The not-so-glamourous-but oh-so satisfying job of hanging and steaming all the clothes.

shoes

Then there's the shoes, shoes, shoes!!! From Gina to Primark.

lara-bohnic-box

Lara Bohinc's jewellery is often copied by high street retailers, I'd forgotten what the geniuine articles looked like. Sah-blime!

jewellry

....and there was even more jewellry, it pays to accesorise as much as poss, when Keeley is wearing such skimpy outfits.

keeleygemma smith-edhouse

Here's Keeley getting her make up done by the renowned make up artist, Gemma Smith-Edhouse.

keeleyalicehawkins

And getting shot by the famous fashion photographer Alice hawkins.

keeley-wings

Here was this 'victoria secrets' type showgirl tail that I had made up about 10 times over the space of 5 days. Pretty good if do say so myself.

keeley-coming-from-pool

This swimsuit is by the legendary Melissa Odabash. She rules when it comes to swimsuits and Keeley looked fantastic in it!
Go here to see the full INTERACTIVE finished video and don't forget to let me know what you think via twitter, chat soon folks xxxd

A couple months ago I was invited to style a test shoot with photographer Andre Ainsworth, I of course jumped at the opportunity, cause up until now, I have been mostly assisting or styling personal clients and I'm always up for adding more strings to ones bow. I really enjoyed the experience and am looking forward to doing more in the future. These are the untouched shots, but thought you guys deserved a sneak preview.
The inspiration for the shoot was androgyny, but I think as time has gone on, I think the feel is more gothic and sexy vampire. Anyways check em out, there are more to come. xxxd

Clothes by Gold-Son, Zara and Betsey Johnson. Jewellry by Dean Davidson

So Lora gets in touch, welcomes me home and says come to the opening night of Tariq Alvi exhibition at the Chisenhale. Feeling weird  and Agrophobic, I go anyway. I haven't seen my friends in ages and the booze is always cheap at private views/openings, so I drag my tired a**e out to Bethnal green and am pleasantly surprised. I loved the space, but more importantly the work itself was impressive. The magazine, flyers, newspapers cuttings (and I think even a Argos catalogue was used), to me seemed mocking and probably somehow pointing to the current economic situation and consumerism on the whole. I particularly liked the mirrored pieces (of which you can see in My Fav Vids below) even if the spray mount could be seen on the glass-no one's perfect. I also met my one of my bestest friends new girlfriend, who is ab fab and reminds me of my teacher in primary school called Ms. Bridge (I loved her too). Anyways check out my videos and check out the exhibition by clicking here and click here for the map.
